Abiodun, Osoba, Amosun, Daniel endorse Yayi as Ogun APC gov candidate
Key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State have endorsed Senator Solomon ‘Yayi’ Adeola as the party’s consensus governorship candidate ahead of the 2027 elections.
Those backing the endorsement include Governor Dapo Abiodun, former governors Olusegun Osoba and Ibikunle Amosun, as well as former governor Gbenga Daniel, signaling a rare show of unity among influential figures in the state.
The stakeholders described Adeola as a competent and experienced leader capable of sustaining development and advancing the state’s progress.
They also emphasised the importance of party cohesion, noting that presenting a consensus candidate would strengthen the APC’s chances in the upcoming election.
Adeola, in his response, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to justify the trust by delivering inclusive and impactful governance if elected.
Observers say the endorsement could significantly shape the political landscape in Ogun State, as other aspirants and parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 race.
