The Labour Party has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, hope and a renewed sense of national responsibility as Muslims across the country celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr festival.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the end of the Ramadan fast, party leaders encouraged citizens to reflect on the values of sacrifice, compassion and peaceful coexistence that define the holy period. They emphasised that the spirit of the season offers an opportunity for collective commitment to building a more inclusive and progressive nation.
The party urged Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to work together in promoting social harmony and supporting initiatives that foster economic growth and national development.
Labour Party officials also stressed the importance of responsible leadership and active civic participation, noting that citizens have a vital role to play in shaping the country’s democratic future.
They further called on political actors to prioritise policies that address the welfare of the people and strengthen public confidence in governance.
The party concluded by wishing Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration while expressing optimism that renewed dedication to shared national values would help move Nigeria toward greater stability and prosperity.
