AGN Sets Up Panel to Recover Lost Assets

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), the umbrella body for screen actors in Nollywood, has inaugurated an Asset Recovery Panel to reclaim properties and resources belonging to the guild.
AGN President, Dr. Emeka Rollas, unveiled the three-man panel during an interactive session with the guild’s Board of Trustees on Wednesday in Abuja, where the new national secretariat was also formally presented.
The committee members are Onwurah Ifeanyi (Chairman), Garba Muazu (Secretary), and Sydney Diala (Member).
Rollas explained that over the past two decades, the guild had lost several assets—including vehicles, furnished offices, landed properties, and equipment—through mismanagement and wrongful appropriation by previous leaders.
“To protect our future and deter such practices, the guild has established this Asset Recovery Panel to retrieve what rightfully belongs to us and ensure such losses do not recur,” he stated.
The panel is tasked with identifying and recovering assets in wrongful custody, while safeguarding the guild’s resources for the benefit of its members.
