Muhammed Babangida Accepts Tinubu’s Appointment – Presidency Debunks Rejection Claims

The Presidency has denied claims that Muhammed Babangida, son of former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB), rejected his recent appointment by President Bola Tinubu as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA).

Earlier on Monday, a letter circulated online—shared by media personality Dele Momodu—allegedly showing that Muhammed had declined the offer.

However, presidential media aide Olusegun Dada dismissed the report in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating that Muhammed Babangida had officially accepted the appointment and expressed gratitude to President Tinubu.

“Muhammed Babangida has officially accepted his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), and he deeply appreciates President Tinubu for the confidence placed in him,” Dada wrote.
