Benue State launches Quick Response Squad to boost security

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has introduced a new security unit called the Quick Response Squad (QRS) to enhance rapid intervention in security emergencies across the state.

At the inauguration, which was attended by Deputy Governor Dr Sam Ode on behalf of Governor Alia, it was revealed that the QRS will operate as a joint task force. The team includes members of the Civilian Protection Guard (CPG), Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), local hunters, and the Joint Task Force (JTF).

The primary mission of the QRS is to react quickly and efficiently to security threats, especially in communities considered most vulnerable within Benue State.
