I was never married to Segun Ogungbe, we just have kids” – Actress Omowunmi Ajiboye

Popular Nigerian actress Omowunmi Ajiboye has revealed that she was never married or engaged to actor and filmmaker Segun Ogungbe, despite having two children with him.

In an interview on Oyinmomo TV, Omowunmi explained that Ogungbe never met any member of her family, except for a friend of her sibling who lives in Lagos. She emphasized that Segun Ogungbe himself could confirm this.

> “Let me just set the record straight: Segun Ogungbe and I were never married or engaged. We just have kids,” she said.

This clarification comes nearly two years after their split in 2023, which led to public criticism—especially after she didn’t acknowledge Ogungbe’s presence at her mother’s burial. Instead, her open celebration of the attendance of MC Oluomo, Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, fueled speculation of a romantic relationship, which she denied.

Following the backlash, Omowunmi took a break from acting and relocated abroad. She has now pleaded with the public to stop trolling her over her past relationship.
