VDM, Schoolchildren Protest at Wike’s Residence

Popular social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), led a protest on Monday at the residence of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in Abuja.
The protest was in response to Wike’s recent decision to withhold 10 percent of the statutory allocation meant for area councils. The move came after council leaders failed to implement the new minimum wage for primary school teachers, sparking a prolonged strike across public schools.
In a dramatic demonstration, VDM arrived at the gate of Wike’s home with a group of schoolchildren dressed in their uniforms. He conducted an impromptu lesson, teaching the children the alphabet with politically charged examples.
“S for Suegbe, T for Tinubu, W for Wike,” he chanted, with the children repeating after him.
VDM declared that, until further notice, Wike’s gate would serve as the children’s new classroom—a symbolic stand against the government’s failure to resolve the teachers’ strike and ensure access to education.
