Imo Government Nabs Fake Revenue Collector Impersonating State Agencies

The Imo State Government has arrested a man identified as Mr. Moses, who was allegedly involved in impersonating multiple government agencies to carry out illegal revenue collection activities across the state.
According to reports, the suspect, an indigene of Ebonyi State, was apprehended by the State’s Compliance and Monitoring Team following directives from the Special Adviser to the Governor on Monitoring and Compliance, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri. He was caught issuing unauthorized tickets and collecting levies at various locations in Owerri, including the Imo State University (IMSU) junction, Orji Flyover, Amakohia Flyover, and Akwakuma axis.
Nwaneri disclosed that the suspect had fraudulently presented himself as an agent of several state agencies, such as the Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), the Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO), and the Imo State Waste Management Agency, among others.
