The Network for Good Governance and Development has urged President Bola Tinubu to address the worsening conditions in Nigeria’s foreign missions, saying the neglect of diplomatic facilities and staff welfare undermines the country’s global image.

In a statement on Tuesday, the group expressed concern over reports of unpaid allowances, dilapidated embassy buildings, and poor working conditions affecting Immigration Service officers abroad.

It also called for a comprehensive audit of all Nigerian missions to ensure accountability and efficiency, adding that “a nation’s diplomacy is only as strong as its representation.”
