Southern governors and traditional rulers are set to meet on Wednesday in Iperu, Ogun State, to deliberate on critical national and regional issues.
The meeting, hosted by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, will bring together leaders from all 17 southern states alongside prominent royal fathers. Discussions will focus on enhancing regional security, boosting economic cooperation, and fostering joint infrastructure development across the South.
Officials say the forum will also review progress from previous engagements and explore strategies for a unified stance on national policies affecting the southern states.
At the end of the meeting, a joint communiquรฉ is expected to highlight agreed actions and collaborative initiatives to strengthen regional governance and development.
