Wike–Fubara feud: Supporters divided over Tinubu-brokered peace deal

Supporters of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara are split over his recent reconciliation with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
While some welcome the truce as a step toward stability, others see it as fragile and worry it signals the governor’s capitulation to his political godfather.
The peace deal was brokered by President Bola Tinubu at a closed-door meeting on Thursday night at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Also present were the suspended Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, and a few lawmakers.
