We lost a patriot, says Tinubu as he mourns business icon Aminu Dantata

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman, renowned businessman, and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who died early Saturday at the age of 94.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Dantata’s death as a monumental national loss.
“With the death of Alhaji Dantata today, we lost a prominent business mogul, patriot, and elder statesman who contributed significantly to the growth and development of our nation,” Tinubu said.
He highlighted Dantata’s remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s economic progress and development, noting his impact extended beyond business into public service. The late Dantata had notably served as Commissioner for Planning and Development in the old Kano State.
