Valencia have confirmed they will not be making Umar Sadiq’s loan move from Real Sociedad permanent this summer.

The Nigerian forward joined Los Ches on loan in January and has made a significant impact by scoring six goals in 16 league appearances, helping the club escape the relegation zone.

However, according to Spanish media outlet Marca, Valencia will not activate the €9 million buyout clause in Sadiq’s contract due to financial limitations and other club priorities.

During his loan spell, Valencia paid a €500,000 fee to Real Sociedad and covered Sadiq’s wages in full.

The striker is now attracting interest from other clubs in Spain as well as from teams in Qatar.
