US Mission Hails Akin Fadeyi Foundation’s Anti-Graft Campaign

The United States Mission in Nigeria has commended the Akin Fadeyi Foundation for its anti-corruption advocacy project, “Corruption Not in My Country.”
In a statement posted on its official X account on Tuesday, the mission described the initiative as a powerful tool for promoting transparency and accountability across the country.
The US Mission noted that the campaign continues to send a strong message to Nigerians on the importance of their role in nation-building, stressing that the fight against corruption must begin with every citizen.
“Shout-out to @AFFoundationng’s ‘Corruption Not In My Country’ campaign promoting transparency and accountability — a reminder that the fight against corruption starts with every Nigerian, and together, citizens must demand better, do better, and build a nation where integrity thrives,” the statement read.
Reacting to the recognition in a statement sent to PUNCH Online on Wednesday morning, the founder of the foundation and convener of the campaign, Akin Fadeyi, expressed gratitude to the US Mission.
“All of us at the Akin Fadeyi Foundation are encouraged by this recognition,” he said, adding that the commendation serves as renewed motivation for the organisation’s efforts in driving integrity and accountability in governance and civic engagement.
The “Corruption Not in My Country” project, initiated by Fadeyi, has over the years focused on grassroots advocacy, civic education, and institutional accountability, earning local and international recognition as one of Nigeria’s leading anti-graft campaigns.
