UNILORIN to Honour Oloyede, 64 Others at Golden Jubilee Celebration

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, the University of Ilorin will honour 65 distinguished Nigerians—most of whom are alumni—during a special investiture ceremony on July 16, 2025.
The event, titled “Investiture Ceremony of UNILORIN Ambassadors, Distinguished Alumni, and Award of Excellence,” is scheduled to take place at the university auditorium at 11:00 am.
Among the honourees are the former Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN and current Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Emeritus Is’haq Olanrewaju Oloyede; Dr Tunji Olowolafe; Dr Adeyemi Murtadha Adeniji; Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof Temidayo Oladiji; and former Managing Director of Nigeria LNG Limited, Mr Babatunde Omotowa.
Others to be recognised include renowned accountant Dr AWA Ibrahim; former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Sarah Alade; Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mrs Kemi Nandap; and Managing Director of Thisday Newspapers, Mr Eniola Bello.
