Troost-Ekong Draws Massive Crowd in Lagos Ahead of Charity Showdown

Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong was met with overwhelming support from fans in Lagos on Friday evening during a meet and greet session held ahead of the second edition of his foundation’s charity match, the #PlayForPurpose fixture, scheduled for Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
The event, hosted at the Puma store in Palms Mall, Lekki, provided fans with a rare opportunity to meet the Nigeria international in an informal setting. Hundreds of supporters — young and old — arrived hours early to take photographs, collect autographs, and engage in personal moments with the star player.
The meet and greet also doubled as a tribute to Puma, a lead sponsor of the charity initiative. S After the event, Troost-Ekong expressed his appreciation:
> “This meet and greet was great. It was a way to pay homage to the fans and to one of our biggest partners, Puma, who’ve been supporting us for two events now. It’s not been easy. They believed in us even before we had the proof of concept done.”
