Troops Rescue Abducted Victims In Katsina
The Nigerian Army on Monday disclosed that its troops rescued kidnapped victims in the Solar General Area of Batsari Local Government Area in Katsina State.
News Telly reports that the successful mission was in response to the abduction complaints they received and swung into action by engaging the terrorists in a ferocious fire battle, forcing them to abandon 17 kidnapped victims.
According to the statement made available to reporters, the victims were safely evacuated and returned to the care of Batsari Local Government officials.
“In the northeastern state of Borno, a notable incident occurred when Alhaji Wosai, identified as a notorious member of the Boko Haram terrorists operating within Garno Village, in Dikwa Local Government Area, voluntarily surrendered to troops.
“Wosai handed over his AK-47 rifle and a magazine containing two rounds of ammunition,” it said.
It further stated that; the forces are dedicated to eradicating criminals and pledged their unwavering support as they fight to restore peace and stability in the afflicted districts.
