Adamu Waziri, a former Minister of Police Affairs and ex-member of the PDP’s Board of Trustees, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration for bringing severe hardship to Nigerians over the past two years.

Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Friday, Waziri, who now belongs to the African Democratic Alliance under the opposition coalition, argued that Nigeria needs effective leadership to move forward.

> “We’re asking Nigerians to give us three months, while the Tinubu administration is asking for another two years. But the record shows that these past two years have caused Nigerians severe pain,” Waziri said.

He warned that giving the current administration another two years could worsen the situation, urging citizens instead to support a change in leadership.

Waziri emphasized that the ruling APC would be removed only through democratic means, dismissing accusations that the opposition is plotting to overthrow the government.

> “If I had the democratic means to remove this government tomorrow, I would. But since I don’t, we’ll wait until it’s legally possible,” he explained.
“We’re not trying to topple the government; we’re challenging it through democratic and constitutional processes.”
