Tinubu to Honour 210 Former NYSC Members

President Bola Tinubu will honour 210 former members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) during the upcoming President’s NYSC Honours Award ceremony for the 2020 to 2023 service years.
The announcement was made on Saturday in Abuja through a statement by Mr. Emeka Mgbemena, Director of Media for the NYSC.
According to the statement, the award ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
Of the 210 awardees, 200 are ex-corps members recognised for their outstanding performance across the NYSC’s four key programmes: Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding-Up/Passing-Out.
Additionally, 10 ex-corps members who sustained permanent disabilities while serving the nation will be honoured under the NYSC Hope Alive Initiative.
The Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande; the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu; and other NYSC management officials are expected to welcome the awardees and distinguished guests to the prestigious event.
