Tinubu Surrounds Himself With People Who Don’t Know Politics — Ndume
Senator Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South in the National Assembly, has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inner circle, alleging that the president is being poorly advised by individuals who lack political depth and grassroots understanding.
Ndume, a former Senate Majority Leader, said some of those close to the president do not understand the realities of Nigerian politics or the mood of the people, warning that this could negatively affect governance and public perception of the administration.
According to him, effective leadership requires advisers who are politically savvy, grounded at the grassroots, and able to give honest feedback rather than tell the president only what he wants to hear.
The Borno South senator argued that disconnect between leadership and the people often stems from poor counsel, stressing that those around the president play a critical role in shaping policies and decisions.
Ndume, however, maintained that his comments were not personal attacks but constructive criticism aimed at improving governance, adding that President Tinubu has the capacity to deliver if properly guided
