Tinubu Orders Military to Crush Terrorists, Bandits, Separatists

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Nigerian Armed Forces and security agencies to decisively confront terrorists, bandits, insurgents, and separatists threatening Nigeria’s peace and unity.

At the grand finale of the 2025 Nigerian Army Day Celebration held at Murtala Square, Kaduna, Vice President Kashim Shettima delivered the president’s message, stating the military had the full backing of the Presidency to act boldly and without hesitation.

> “The time to rise is now… You have my full authorisation and the trust of the Nigerian people to defeat those who undermine our nation,” Tinubu said.

Describing terrorism, insurgency, banditry, and separatist movements as serious threats, Tinubu emphasized that these dangers should no longer be treated as minor issues, noting that they harm Nigerians regardless of religion or ethnicity.

The president also promised continued federal support through investments in modern weapons, intelligence, and manpower to strengthen national security.

> “Our response must be united, calm, and uncompromising,” he stressed.

Paying tribute to fallen soldiers and wounded heroes, Tinubu vowed their sacrifices would never be forgotten.
