Tinubu Honours Super Falcons After WAFCON Victory

President Bola Tinubu has rewarded the Super Falcons and their technical crew following their historic victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

🇳🇬 National Honours and Rewards:

Each player and technical crew member was conferred with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

Each of the 24 players will receive:

🏠 A three-bedroom apartment in Abuja (Renewed Hope Estate).

💵 The naira equivalent of $100,000.

Each of the 11-man technical crew will receive:

💵 The naira equivalent of $50,000.

🎁 Extra Gift from Governors Forum:

The Nigerian Governors Forum, led by Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, gifted ₦10 million to each team member.

🏟️ WAFCON 2025 Victory Highlights:

Nigeria defeated hosts Morocco 3–2 after being 2–0 down at halftime.

Rasheedat Ajibade, the team captain, was named Tournament MVP.

Tinubu admitted he couldn’t watch the match live, fearing it would raise his blood pressure.
