Tinubu Delivering PDP’s Promises, Says Reno Omokri in Response to Atiku’s Aides

Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has defended his support for President Bola Tinubu, asserting that Tinubu is now implementing reforms originally proposed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Tuesday, Omokri responded to what he described as “unwarranted attacks” from the media team of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. He maintained that he holds deep respect for Atiku and does not deserve the hostility from his camp.

“There is absolutely no reason for those around Waziri Atiku Abubakar to fight with someone who only has the utmost respect for the former Vice President and has never had an unkind word to say about him overtly or covertly,” Omokri stated.

He clarified that his backing of Tinubu stems from the president’s execution of major policy ideas long championed by the PDP, signaling what he views as progress for Nigeria—even if it comes under a different party’s administration.
