Tinubu condemns killing of Ekiti monarchs, abduction of pupils, teachers
President Bola Tinubu has condemned the recent attacks in Ekiti State that led to the killings of two traditional rulers and the abduction of private school pupils, teachers, and a driver.
News Telly had reported that gunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday killed the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola.
Similarly, the assailants attacked the Eporo-Ekiti area of the state and kidnapped at least six pupils, teachers, and a bus driver.
Condemning the mindless and brutal bloodletting, the President, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, pledged that the perpetrators would not escape justice.
