Tinubu Commissions ₦16bn Flyover, Other Infrastructure in Nasarawa
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday, commissioned the ₦16 billion Lafia flyover and underpass during a one-day working visit to Nasarawa State.
The President touched down at the Usman Dan Fodio Airport in Lafia at approximately 1:55 p.m. aboard a Nigerian Air Force jet. He was warmly received by Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, alongside other top government officials.
The state capital was decked out with colourful banners, posters, and decorations as residents, including school children, lined the streets in celebration of the President’s visit.
Speaking at the inauguration of the landmark project, Tinubu commended Governor Sule for his effective governance and prudent management of public funds. He noted that the infrastructure would significantly improve transportation and boost economic activities within the state.
The Lafia interchange project is part of broader development efforts aimed at enhancing road safety, easing traffic congestion, and promoting socio-economic growth across the region.
