President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Kresta Laurel Limited on its 35th anniversary, praising the indigenous elevator company for its resilience, discipline, and sound business practices.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the firm for its contributions to Nigeria’s economy, noting that its growth and longevity reflect effective management and unwavering commitment.

“Kresta Laurel Limited is a major player in elevators and escalators, with headquarters in Lagos and offices in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Uyo, and Ibadan. It is also a recipient of the African Order of Merit in Cranes, Escalators, and Elevator Technology,” the statement read in part.

At the company’s 35th Anniversary Gala and Award Night in Lagos, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, highlighted the significance of the milestone.

“Thirty-five years in the life of a company is more than a timeline. From inception, Kresta Laurel set out to rise above limitations and contribute to Nigeria’s development. Beyond moving people and goods, the company has become a silent backbone of modern architecture and urban growth,” Edun said.

He urged the company to continue innovating, stressing that the future demands adaptation to smart cities, the Internet of Things, and sustainability.

In his remarks, the Founder and Group Chairman of Kresta Laurel Limited, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, called on Nigerians to believe in the nation’s potential, while reaffirming the company’s commitment to excellence and national progress.
