There Were Errors, JAMB Finally Admits

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially acknowledged errors in the conduct of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, made this admission during a press briefing in Abuja.
He stated that despite extensive preparations, “one or two errors” still occurred, changing what should have been a moment of joy for candidates.
This admission follows widespread complaints about discrepancies in UTME scores and unusually poor performance—78% of candidates scored below 200 out of 400.
JAMB has assured the public that it will take appropriate remedial actions where necessary.
