Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has asserted that his contributions to the country’s music industry are unforgettable.

The self-styled Akpako Master, known for pioneering the Street-hop genre in the 2010s, claimed that any discussion about cultural influence in Nigerian music would be incomplete without acknowledging his name.

Terry G made the statement on social media on Wednesday amidst ongoing debates about legacy and cultural relevance in Nigerian music—discussions recently reignited by the rap feud between artists Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez.

Posting on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he wrote:

> “You can’t talk about cultural impact in Nigeria without talking about Terry G. I am the culture.”

Terry G is widely remembered for his energetic style, eccentric persona, and his influence on street music during a transformative era in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
