Sokoto Leaders Mourn Emir of Zuru

The Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, has joined other prominent leaders in mourning the death of the Emir of Zuru, Retired Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Sani Sami.

 

Dr. Aliyu, accompanied by former governor and serving senator, Aliyu Wamakko, and the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Maigari Dingyadi, paid a condolence visit to Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, in Zuru on Saturday.

 

Speaking during the visit, Governor Aliyu described the late emir as a highly respected traditional ruler who dedicated his life to the service of humanity and the development of Nigeria.

 

“The death of His Royal Highness is a great loss, not only to his family and the Zuru Emirate but to Kebbi State and the entire nation. We pray Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus,” he said.

 

Similarly, Senator Wamakko and Dr. Dingyadi extolled the late emir’s virtues, noting that his years of public service and leadership left behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
