Sealed PDP National Secretariat Will Be Reopened Monday – Anyanwu
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee led by Abdulrahman Mohammed has announced that the party’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, will be reopened on Monday.
The announcement was made by the Acting National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu, who said the decision followed internal consultations and efforts to restore normal administrative activities at the party headquarters in Abuja.
Anyanwu said the caretaker committee remains committed to stabilising the party and ensuring that its operations continue without disruption despite ongoing leadership disagreements within the PDP.
“The national secretariat will be reopened on Monday to allow staff and party officials to resume their duties,” Anyanwu said, stressing that the committee is acting in line with court decisions and the party’s constitution.
Wadata Plaza was sealed amid the lingering leadership crisis within the PDP following a court ruling that nullified the party’s National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025. The judgment sparked renewed disputes over the legitimacy of the party’s national leadership.
Following the ruling, the Abdulrahman Mohammed-led faction established a caretaker committee with a mandate to oversee the affairs of the party pending further resolutions.
Anyanwu urged party members to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring them that steps are being taken to reconcile aggrieved stakeholders and reposition the PDP ahead of future political engagements.
He added that reopening the secretariat is part of broader efforts to restore order, unity, and effective coordination within the party at the national level.
