The Kaduna State Government has announced plans to complete more than 140 ongoing road projects across the state as part of efforts to improve infrastructure, enhance mobility, and stimulate economic development.

The disclosure was made in a statement issued on Saturday by the Managing Director of the Kaduna Roads Agency, Dr. Abdullahi Baba-Ahmed, in Abuja. He noted that the projects form a key component of the administration’s broader strategy to reconnect communities and boost commercial activities.

According to him, the agency recently unveiled its second documentary titled “Roads of Legacy: Governor Uba Sani Reconnects Kaduna,” which highlights various completed and ongoing road projects executed under the current administration.

Baba-Ahmed explained that the documentary showcases the scale and impact of road infrastructure development across different parts of the state, stressing that the projects are aimed at leaving a lasting legacy of improved connectivity and growth.

He revealed that more than 140 road projects covering approximately 1,335 kilometres are currently under construction across Kaduna State, with about 60 per cent already completed.

The agency’s first documentary, released in December 2025, had earlier documented about 700 kilometres of roads delivered in several communities, reflecting the government’s commitment to infrastructural transformation.

Baba-Ahmed further stated that strategic road corridors spanning Zaria, Kaduna North, and parts of Southern Kaduna have been initiated and completed under Governor Uba Sani’s leadership, helping to open up rural areas, facilitate trade, and improve access to essential services.

He added that the government remains focused on accelerating the pace of construction and ensuring timely completion of the projects in order to strengthen economic activities and improve the quality of life for residents across the state.
