Veteran Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman, has urged citizens to direct their anger and demands toward government institutions and security agencies rather than celebrities whenever cases of abduction occur.
Reacting to recent kidnapping incidents across the country, the entertainer argued that the responsibility for protecting lives and property rests solely with the government and its security apparatus.
According to him, celebrities do not control security agencies or public resources and therefore should not be expected to solve problems that fall within the duties of elected officials and law enforcement authorities.
Ruggedman stressed that Nigerians must hold leaders accountable for insecurity and demand effective action against kidnappers, bandits, and other criminal groups threatening communities nationwide.
His comments have sparked debate on social media, with many Nigerians sharing differing views on the role of public figures in addressing national issues.
The remarks come amid growing public concern over rising cases of abduction and violent crimes in several parts of the country.
