Reps Member Slams Tinubu’s Aide Over Policy Communication
A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Solomon Bob, has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, accusing the presidential aide of misrepresenting government policies and worsening public confusion.
Bob, who represents Abua/Odual and Ahoada West Federal Constituency of Rivers State, said the manner in which key policies are being communicated to Nigerians lacks clarity, consistency and sensitivity to the realities faced by citizens.
According to the lawmaker, effective governance goes beyond policy formulation and implementation, stressing that clear, truthful and responsible communication is crucial in sustaining public trust, especially at a time when Nigerians are grappling with economic hardship.
He warned that poor policy communication could undermine the intentions of the Tinubu administration and fuel unnecessary backlash against government initiatives.
The federal lawmaker urged the presidency to adopt a more transparent and people-focused communication strategy, adding that advisers must ensure that public statements align strictly with official policy positions to avoid misinformation.
Bob’s remarks come amid growing public debate over several federal policies, with calls for improved engagement between the government and citizens.
