Presidential Aircraft Bidders Get December 24 Deadline
Bidders for the Falcon 900B aircraft, a prominent member of the presidential air fleet, which has been put on sale by Nigeria Air Force, have until December 24 to submit their applications.
NAF, on Monday, officially announced its plan to sell the Falcon 900B aircraft to willing buyers.
The call for interested buyers to submit their bids was disseminated through a flyer shared on the official NAF X page.
The announcement revealed that the Federal Government of Nigeria had given its approval for the sale of the Falcon 900B aircraft, owned by the Nigerian Air Force.

NAF said, ‘’Interested buyers opting for e-mail submissions were instructed to send password-protected bids to a designated mailing address, with the password forwarded separately to another. For those choosing physical submission, quotations must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the interested company/entity, along with a clear description and reference to the request. The envelope is to be marked with the statement, ‘DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023.’’
NAF emphasised that bids would be processed immediately after the expiration of the deadline for submission.
NAF explained that the decision to sell the aircraft aligned with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act of 2007.
The official statement on the flyer reads, “The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the sale of Falcon 900B aircraft owned by the Nigerian Air Force. In compliance with provisions of the Public Procurement Act 2007, the NAF hereby invites all interested parties to submit bids for the purchase of the aircraft. The bids can be submitted by email or physically.”
The move by NAF has generated significant interest and speculation within the political and aviation circles, prompting questions about the reasons behind the decision and the potential impact on the presidential air fleet.
