Police Foil Cult Initiation in Anambra, Arrest Six Suspects
The Anambra State Police Command has successfully disrupted a suspected cult initiation ceremony in Nawfia, Njikoka Local Government Area, arresting six individuals and recovering weapons and incriminating items.
The operation, carried out on June 15 at approximately 9:30 a.m., followed actionable intelligence, according to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga.
Recovered items include:
One Jojef pump-action gun
Two live cartridges
Two cutlasses
A golden-coloured Lexus SUV (Registration No: ATN 202 AE)
Two scissors
A cap marked with the Supreme Vikings Confraternity insignia
Charms and suspected hard substances
