Police Arrest Two Robbery Suspects in Adamawa, Recover Stolen Vehicle

Yola, June 24, 2025 — The Adamawa State Police Command has made progress in its anti-crime operations with the arrest of two suspected armed robbers and the recovery of a stolen car.
According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, the arrests followed credible intelligence received by the police.
> “Operatives from the Yolde Pate Divisional Police Headquarters, led by SP Abdullahi Abubakar, acted swiftly on a tip-off that a black 2015 Honda Accord, stolen in Sabon Gari, Jalingo (Taraba State), had been moved to Yola,” Nguroje said.
The suspects — Emmanuel Sale, 28, and Jibrilla Hassan, 36 — both residents of Sabon Gari, Jalingo, were promptly apprehended, and the stolen vehicle was successfully recovered.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, praised the operatives for their rapid response and directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yola, for further coordination with the Taraba State Police Command.
> “The Adamawa State Police Command remains fully committed to safeguarding lives and property across the state,” the statement affirmed.
