Police Arrest Suspect, Recover Stolen SUV in Abia
The Abia State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Emeka Edwin Chukwuma, from Umuchu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, in connection with a stolen vehicle.
Command spokesperson, Maureen Chinaka, said in a statement on Thursday that operatives of the Scorpion Squad recovered a Toyota Highlander SUV with registration number BBR667RM during the operation on August 22, 2025.
She explained that the vehicle had earlier been reported stolen in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, in 2022, but was traced to Abia through credible intelligence.
The police have contacted the complainant to verify ownership, while investigations into the case are still ongoing.
