Peter Obi Commends Otti’s Governance, Says He’s Desperate for Nigeria to Work, Not for Presidency

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has reiterated that his ambition is not to occupy the presidency at all costs, but to see Nigeria function effectively for the good of its people.
Obi made the statement on Saturday during a special Anniversary Sabbath service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Umuahia, held in celebration of Governor Alex Otti’s two years in office.
The former Anambra State Governor praised Otti’s performance in Abia State, describing it as exemplary and proof that meaningful change doesn’t require a full term in office.
“We’ve come to celebrate two years of impactful leadership. People often say they need eight or more years, but I’ve always maintained that even one day can make a difference,” Obi said.
He urged citizens to pray for Governor Otti and his team, acknowledging the difficulty of leading Nigeria or any state, especially when trying to do the right thing. He also called on Nigerians to pray for all leaders, encouraging them to manage public resources responsibly.
