PDP Reinstates Samuel Anyanwu, Suspends June 30 NEC Meeting

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the reinstatement of Senator Samuel Anyanwu into its National Working Committee (NWC) and suspended its scheduled National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting originally planned for June 30.
The announcement was made on Wednesday during a press conference held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. Speaking at the event, the party’s Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, said the decision followed consultations with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and internal deliberations among party leaders.
Damagum acknowledged that the resolution to reintegrate Anyanwu into the party’s leadership structure was a “difficult but necessary” step, emphasizing that it was widely accepted by major stakeholders and organs of the party.
> “Senator Samuel Anyanwu has been reinstated into the NWC. It was a difficult decision, but one that has received broad support from party members and leadership,” Damagum stated.
