PDP Open to Makinde, Jonathan, Others — Turaki
The factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, says the party is open to aspirants from the South ahead of the 2027 presidential election but has already identified individuals who will not be allowed to fly its flag.
Turaki reaffirmed that PDP’s presidential ticket remains zoned to the South, stressing that while the party is yet to decide its candidate, the process will be open, transparent, and fair.
He spoke after a meeting with former Vice President Namadi Sambo in Abuja, where he also dismissed speculation about internal crises, describing a recent court judgment as a vindication of the party’s leadership.
