PDP Compiles Delegates List Ahead of National Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun compiling its delegates’ list in preparation for its national convention scheduled for November 15–16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Chairman of the PDP National Convention Organising Committee, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, disclosed this on Monday in Abuja during a meeting of the protocol subcommittee.
Fintiri assured party members that the process would be transparent and fair, emphasizing that the exercise would reflect the principles of internal democracy.
“We are fully committed and will not leave any stone unturned to ensure a successful convention. Everyone is determined, and under our leadership, the PDP will not be let down,” he said.
Fintiri described his loyalty to the PDP as lifelong, noting that the party had shaped his political journey.
He stressed that the convention would be open and inclusive, allowing all qualified aspirants who met the party’s requirements to contest freely.
“We won’t deny anyone the chance to contest. The screening will be transparent, and every aspirant who purchased forms will be allowed to participate,” he added.
The governor also revealed that the delegates’ list would be published publicly, just as the names of the subcommittees were released.
He expressed optimism that the enthusiasm among members signified a revival of trust and confidence in the party, adding that the convention would produce capable leaders to steer the PDP forward.
