Oyo Names 11-Member Committee for 50th Anniversary Celebration

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the constitution of an 11-member committee to coordinate activities marking the state’s 50th anniversary celebration.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Saheed Fijabi, was appointed as the Chairman of the committee.
The announcement was contained in a letter signed by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, and made available to PUNCH Online in Ibadan, the state capital.
According to the letter, the committee will be responsible for planning and executing all programmes related to the golden jubilee celebration.

The governor urged the committee to ensure a befitting celebration that reflects Oyo State’s rich heritage and developmental strides over the past five decades.
