Osun Senator Fadahunsi Resigns from PDP Over Irreconcilable Differences

Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, who represents Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing deep-rooted internal crises and legal disputes within the party.
The resignation was conveyed in a letter personally signed by Senator Fadahunsi and dated June 12, 2025. It was submitted to the PDP Ward Chairman of Ward 4 in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.
In the letter, the senator explained that his decision to quit the party stemmed from “irreparable and irreconcilable differences” as well as protracted legal battles that have plagued the PDP at the national level following the 2023 general elections.
“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family and friends,” the letter read. “It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith. Thank you for your understanding
