Osun Government In Desperate Search For Parents Of Abandoned Day-old Baby
Osun State Government has asked citizens to provide any information that could help identify the parents of a day-old abandoned infant in the Dagbolu Area of Ikirun, Osun State.
The call was contained in the bulletin of the Osun State Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment obtained in Osogbo on Monday.
According to the statement signed by the Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs, Ayobola Awolowo, and the Permanent Secretary, Abimbola Babatunde, said the baby was discovered in a carton that was placed at a spot in Zone ‘B’ Area in Dagbolu.

The statement also indicated that the baby was found by a resident, whose identity was not disclosed.
According to the statement, “A day-old baby, named Temitope Daniel, who was abandoned inside a carton around Zone ‘B’ Area, Dagbolu, Ikirun has been found by a good Nigerian.
“All efforts by the police and the social workers of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs to locate the child’s parents were fruitless.
“This release therefore enjoins members of the public with relevant information about the abandoned child to assist in locating his parents.”
