Omo Jesu To Celebrate 50th Birthday and 25th Anniversary on Stage
Popular comedian, Omo Jesu, whose real name is Daniel Isiwele, will mark a significant milestone on January 1, 2025, as he celebrates both his 50th birthday and a remarkable 25 years in comedy.
Born in Edo State on January 1, 1975, Omo Jesu’s career took off during his time at Yaba Tech, where he balanced his studies in Electrical Engineering with performing at events and parties. His natural wit and charm quickly earned him a reputation, and soon, he was a household name.
After further honing his craft, he ventured into television and radio, where he worked as a presenter and producer on Galaxy TV, and later became the host of the popular radio program Landlord and Tenants on Faaji FM.
Reflecting on his journey, Omo Jesu recalls his early days on stage, saying, “I still remember my first time on stage—nervous, unsure, but determined. To think that 25 years later, I’m here, celebrating not only my birthday but also the journey I’ve had on this stage, is beyond words.”
