Commercial motorcyclists in Ogun State have been warned to stay off the roads during late-night hours as concerns over insecurity continue to grow.
Chairman of the motorcycle union in the state, Taofeek Sokoya, urged members to exercise caution, remain vigilant, and avoid movements that could expose them to criminal attacks or security risks.
He stressed that the safety of riders must take priority, warning that operating at odd hours could make them easy targets for criminals and kidnappers.
The union leader also called on members to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities and individuals within their communities.
The warning comes amid renewed efforts by authorities and stakeholders to strengthen security across Ogun State and neighbouring regions affected by rising criminal activities.
Union officials say the measure is aimed at protecting both riders and passengers while supporting ongoing security operations.
