Ogun Extends Property Document Submission Deadline by Two Weeks
The Ogun State Government has extended the deadline for property owners and occupiers affected by the ongoing physical development audit to submit their title documents by two weeks.
Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Olatunji Odunlami, announced the extension in a statement on Wednesday, explaining that it aims to give owners and developers more time to present their planning permits or regularise unapproved developments with the ministry and its agencies.
He said the decision followed appeals from affected residents in areas such as Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode, adding that the gesture reflects the government’s goodwill, commitment to the rule of law, and transparency.
Odunlami reassured the public that the audit is a routine process and not targeted at any individual.
