Obasanjo Backs Bauchi’s Drive to Attract Investors

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has pledged his support for the Bauchi State Government in its efforts to draw both local and foreign investors to the state.
Obasanjo made the commitment on Wednesday during the inauguration of the newly constructed Sir Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre in Bauchi.
Describing the facility as a world-class edifice, the former president said the project would help reposition Bauchi as a hub for business, tourism, and international conferences.
He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for what he called a bold and visionary initiative, noting that the project reflects the administration’s ambition to promote sustainable growth and global relevance.
“With what we have, we can show the world that we are part of it,” Obasanjo said. “What others boast about is not beyond our reach — some don’t even have half of what we possess. This world-class centre can become one of Nigeria’s major tourist attractions.”
The Sir Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre, according to the governor, is designed to host large-scale events and further enhance Bauchi’s profile as a destination for investment and development.
