Nollywood Actor Ibrahim Chatta Loses Son

The 54-year-old actor announced the tragic news on Saturday through his official Instagram page. While he did not disclose details surrounding the boy’s passing, Chatta shared a photo of his late son alongside a short tribute.
He wrote: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
The post immediately drew an outpouring of sympathy, as colleagues and fans flooded his comment section with heartfelt condolences.
The sad development comes just days after veteran actress, Peju Ogunmola, also lost her only son, Ayomikun, who passed away in Ibadan earlier in the week.
The double tragedies have plunged the Nollywood industry into mourning, with many describing the losses as heartbreaking and deeply painful.
This is not the first time Chatta is experiencing such grief. In June, the actor revealed that he had previously lost his first child, a daughter, several years ago.
Fans, friends, and industry colleagues continue to rally around the actor, offering prayers and support during this difficult period.
