Nigerian striker Dennis linked with return to Watford

Nigeria forward Emmanuel Dennis is being linked with a return to Championship club Watford.

Dennis is currently on loan at Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir from Nottingham Forest.
In eight league appearances for Istanbul Basaksehir this season, Dennis is yet to score or even provide any assist.
In just one season at Watford (2021/22) the 26-year-old scored 10 goals in 35 games.
At Forest, he could only manage two goals in 19 appearances.
Now, according to Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Dennis could head back to Watford.
“Understand Watford have agreed on deal to sign Emmanuel Dennis from Istanbul Basaksehir!,” Romano wrote on X handle.
“Surprise return agreed on loan until June as he accepted to take 70% pay cut to return and help Watford.”
Also, Romano revealed that Dennis’ medical is booked for Tuesday, January 23.
Watford are currently in 9th place on 40 points in the Championship league table.
